Do finders need an app?
No. Any phone camera that can scan a QR code opens the secure finder page in a browser. No app, no download.
What if the finder can’t scan the QR code?
Each label includes the tag ID. The finder can visit sniffy.app/qr and type the ID in manually to reach the same contact page.
Does Sniffy track my stuff with GPS?
No hardware tracking. With Plus, the finder can choose to share a one-time location pin when they scan. It is optional and consent-based.
Is my email or phone shown to the finder?
No. Messages go through a secure form. The finder never sees your email address or phone number. You can reply to the finder from your dashboard without revealing your details.
Will it work overseas?
Yes. If the finder has internet access, Sniffy works anywhere. Enable travel mode on Plus to automatically request GPS from finders while you’re on the move.
How many tags can I have?
Free includes 1 tag. Sniffy Plus gives you 8 tags on monthly or 10 on yearly. Sniffy Family supports up to 20 tags.
How do I print the labels?
Plus members can print A4 label sheets straight from the dashboard. Each sheet has 10 credit-card-sized labels with your QR code, tag ID, and cut guides. Print on any home printer, cut, and attach with tape or a laminating pouch.
What if the finder has no signal?
They can retry when back online. Airports, cafés and stations often have Wi-Fi. The label also shows the tag ID so they can look it up later at sniffy.app/qr.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are monthly or yearly and you can cancel in your account. Your first tag stays on the free plan, while extra tags and premium features are disabled until you resubscribe.
What are scan alerts?
A Plus feature. You get an email every time someone scans your tag, even if they don’t leave a message. Useful for knowing your item has been found quickly.
